The Interfaith Choir was founded in 1966 by Leigh Thaeler, as a special choir for an ecumenical Thanksgiving service held in Salem, NH.

Although the choir intended to disband after one service, the members recognized that singing in a large choir brings a special kind of joy unavailable anywhere else and decided to continue to sing together.
Today, The Interfaith Choir consists of 45+ voices from a variety of faiths and backgrounds who share a common love of music.

In addition to two major performances each year, The Choir sings at church and civic functions when asked and is available when possible, free of charge, to any church, school or charitable group in the area upon request.

The Choir provides its members the opportunity to perform classical, sacred, and secular music and seeks, through its ministry, to provide this repertory to groups within Derry NH and its surrounding communities.
